Our creamy banana ice cream is the perfect guilt-free Summer treat! It's rich, delicious, smooth and good for you!
Coming from someone who HATES banana's, as in literally gags at the smell and texture, I freaking LOVE our creamy banana ice cream recipe! What's even better, is it is stupidly easy to make, and all is requires is one blender, and a few simple ingredients! One of Adams favourite foods is ice cream, I'm a chocolate lover, but Adam is the ice cream fiend! This is why we never really have ice cream in the house! But sometimes you just want to have something sweet without the added calories, which is where our creamy banana ice cream comes in! Not only is this ridiculously easy to make, but it only contains refined sugars, and 3 ingredients - nana's, cocoa and maple syrup! Much better than the store-bought crap filled with unreadable ingredients!
The key to making this banana ice cream nice and smooth, is to slightly freeze your bananas beforehand, just for about an hour or so until a little bit soft. Then you can easily blend it AND eat it straight away! I usually keep about 6 bananas in the freezer for smoothies anyway, so I just pulled a couple and slightly defrosted them in the fridge for about 30 minutes before I made it! This banana ice cream is creamy, smooth, easy to make, and can be eaten straight away, or put away in the freezer for a snack! It's so good in fact I could happily eat it for breakfast! And remember people, I hate banana's! We found that about 3 bananas is the perfect amount for two decent servings. These serving sizes are the perfect straight away snack size, or you can put it away in the freezer for later! These serving sizes are just perfect when you need a little after dinner kick of chocolate and don't want to go to bed on a sugar high! And bonus! It's dairy free and can be vegan if using vegan cocoa woohoo!
So happy creamy banana ice cream making! I'm off to go and train for football now, so signing out! Peace!
